Suddenly can't download email attachments on yahoo through Google Chrome. If you have another browser on this culprit computer which does dl attachments from yahoo mail, open yahoo mail in it. Clicked on 'Mail' on the homepage, signed back in to Yahoo Mail, and was able to open download links. Thanks for the help! I installed Yahoo Mail October 11 on Galaxy S5. Adobe and Polaris are both installed and work fine. No defaults set in Yahoo Mail app. Phone Software is up to date. I can open and download attachments using Gmail in the built in email app but Yahoo Mail fails with 'Cannot Save Attachment '.

The ability to receive, download and open email attachments in your Yahoo email is crucial to your business, as email attachments can contain invoices, memos and other important business documents. Before contacting technical support, perform basic troubleshooting to possibly solve the problem yourself.

Upgrade your Web browser to ensure that you have the latest version. If your browser is out-of-date, the settings may not be properly configured to open your Yahoo email attachments.

Download and install the free Adobe Reader program if you are unable to read PDF file attachments (link in Resources).

Disable your anti-virus or firewall protection, as these programs could be blocking your ability to download attachments. If you can successfully download a Yahoo email attachment, add an exception to both programs to allow for downloading and opening attachments. Refer to the user guide for your firewall and anti-virus programs for help with disabling the programs and adding exceptions.

Restart your computer if problems persist with downloading and viewing attachments. A restart can help resolve most attachment issues that are related to Internet connectivity.

Disable any browser add-ons or plugins, as these may interfere with the opening of an attachment. Restart your browser and attempt to re-open the attachments.

I am unable to download attachments such as pps, pictures in Yahoo Mail no matter which browser I use (Internet explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox). It looks like there is something to do with the size (I guess so) because sometime it works.

I don't use the outlook.com mail. This doesn't happen with Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.

Can Microsoft fix that default? Or I have to restore Windows 8.1.

Hi,

I have got a similar problem opening attachment in yahoo email.

Especially for .pdf file, it always appears that 'We couldn't download one or more attachments. Please try again later.'

I'm using Mail app in Windows 10.

I have upgraded a second time to Windows 10 to se if this kind of problem is resolved. I have downloaded all update components of Windows and installed them. It did improve in some ways but not all attachments can be downloaded.

Some large PPS, or MP4, or MP3, and pictures wouldn't work. I don't know why those attachment work perfectly well with Windows 8.1.

I have just backed out from Windows 10 today, and re-installed Windows 8.1 via the RESET function, because the Restore to Windows 8.1 did not do a proper job. It cause problem to my Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. Those browser were unable to load Google search page.

This is the last time I tried Windows 10. I have found it pretty hopeless or imperfect. It has other annoying issues in the Windows Explorer too.

My advice to other users is go back to the previous Windows version and never use Windows 10 again.
