I suppose it's only fair to disclose the fact that I adore Dr. Travis Stork, that I tune into The Doctors daily just to see him, and that I DVR'd and kept an episode where he lifted his shirt to reveal his abs. Delicious. Moving on...referring to the 'abs episode' I mentioned, it was dedicated entirely to the ideas revealed in this book. Logical plan, unfortunately I've already discovered most of what he said (then again, I have studied this topic specifically). One really enjoyable part: the recipes...made me hungry. :)
I felt like there were some good advice, to ruminate on, i.e. the 200 health decision we make daily and how dairy can actually cut belly fat. Where Dr. Travis lost me was where he was saying if you eat the right things you can eat as much as you want, then a couple chapters later he's basically emphasizing the importance of portion control. I don't know how realistic it is to expect people to never again eat a refined carb. But I feel like the intention was sincere, like he really cares. I liked...more

A solid book which I read in a weekend. Since it's cowritten with Peter Moore of Men's Health, it's consistent with their other books as well as Superfoods. The author advocates offers a series of small choices one can make and would like you to choose 3 of them. ie: always eat breakfast, watch less tv , eat fruit before every meal and don't drink sugary drinks etc. Fun Fact: We make 200 decisions daily which impacts our weight......
Quick and easy read. I actually read it in one day but not get here to post that on time. He is really straightforward and offers all kinds of ways to start to work on health without going on a 'restrictive' diet. He emphasizes that this is a lifestyle change. Interesting. I am going to give it a try.
A really good book, packed with useful, practical, very doable suggestions for losing weight, becoming more active and healthy.

Some really good information, but they repeat a lot of the facts...many times! It's nice information to know and understand, but I don't think I need to be reminded every chapter!
I've read a lot of weight loss books that emphasized sticking to a two hour routine 6 days a week and a regimented eating plan. That kind of intensely structured system may work for some people but I railed against the time allotment and strictness. I was interested in losing the 8-10 lbs. that I put on every winter, lose, then put on again. Attainable This book proposes small changes to achieve weight loss. Most books are extreme and hard to follow. This plan seems doable.
While the prescriptions are things found in other books, this is written in an easy way and those who might struggle through some other books, might get through this one. Too bad most of the recipes are not kosher.
